Day 7: October 22,2012
Happy Monday! The Pewaukee Academic decathlon team had a scrimmage this evening and it was raining. And misting. Anyway, this is picture of a rainy tree outside the van as we were driving there:
Stay tuned for the next installment of Focusing on Mondays!

Day 6: October 15, 2012
Happy Monday! At Pewaukee High today was College and Career Readiness Day, testing in the morning and then listening to presentations in the fields we were interested in during the afternoon. But both were a little dull, and we found entertainment in doodling on the test booklets. I think the machine operators are going to enjoy looking through mine.
See ya next week!

Homecoming Week Special: October 5, 2012
Happy Saturday! The Homecoming game was so exhausting and cold, there was no way I could post right after. Anyway, As you can imagine, there were a TON of pictures, first up is the High School Pep Rally where we watched videos, saw people preform in silly games, and took part in chanting "Stupid Freshmen!" (A Pewaukee tradition).
After the pep rally and school let out, there was a 3 hour lag between the end of school and the start of the parade so everyone could get ready. Once we were all lined up and set to go in the Queen of Apostles parking lot, we started off on the mile long trek along the lakefront, past the library, and up the hill to school. I was mainly in charge of taking pictures for Robotics club and keeping an eye on the GoPro camera that we mounted on to the camera with a large suction cup mount. I can't believe we didn't have any major issues, too many things could have gone wrong. The video it took is really cool though, once I get it edited, I'll post it.
We were positioned in the middle of the parade, but that meant we dragged everyone else behind when a train came through.
The kids really liked the robot, but they also really liked the candy we threw...
About an hour after the parade finished up, the game got started. There was a second pep rally (the same as the one during school) going on during this time, but for those who did not want to see it and just go right from parade to game, they could get in for free.
We beat New Berlin West 32-24, but we were down most of the game. Woo!
Come back here Monday for the regular Monday posting, It's exhausting posting every day! See ya!

It's Thursday! (Huzzah!) Today was Class Shirt Day here at Pewaukee High School, each grade had a different shirt designed by someone within each grade. Here are the Designs:
Students could also add a customized nickname on to the back of their shirts, most used their last names, but some when out on different tangents:
Students could also vote for the 2012 Homecoming King and Queen today during lunch period:
I won't be able to post about the final day of Homecoming Week tomorrow, I'm staying after school right into the parade and the game, so check back Saturday for the final installment of Homecoming Week!

Homecoming Week Special: October 3, 2012
Happy Wednesday everyone! Today at Pewaukee High School was Wear Pink to Support the Fight Against Breast Cancer Day. So about 80% of the school flashed their best pink garb and bought cancer ribbons to wear as well. Here are the photos:
Simultaneously, today was Toga day for the seniors (Toga! Toga! Toga!), some stylish seniors combined the two themes into one:
This is not quite about Homecoming week, but check out my groups solar car for Green Technology class! We christened it "The Kraken" so that when we let go of it during the class race, we could say, "Release the Kraken!"

Homecoming Week Special: October 2, 2012
Weird posting on a Tuesday, ah well. Happy Retro day! Today, the students of Pewaukee High School Sported their best clothing from times of old. So essentially, there were a lot of hippie getup's with tie - dye shirts and bandanas. Might have been fun as Hippie Day, but what can you do.
And now, to the photos!
Sending a Thank-you out to Mr. Douglas for allowing his picture to be taken today in class!
And good luck to all members of the Homecoming court!
See you tomorrow with the photos of Wear Pink For Breast Cancer day!
